Japan Trip 2014 - Day 5 Fukuoka (Nov-25)

We took the Shinkansen (bullet train) down to Fukuoka.

Japan Trip 2014 - Day 4 Tokyo (Nov-24)

Back in Tokyo - Cafe 1894
 The original Mitsubishi Ichigokan building was built in 1894 and later torn down in 1968.
 It was rebuilt based on original plans and detail in 2010.

Cafe 1894 is located in what use to be occupied by the bank.
The cafe reproduced the original bank space including the teller windows.

Kitte Building (Kitte = stamp in Japanese)
Located at the site of the original 1933 Central Post Office Building.
The original facade was preserved and the Central Post Office reopened
with an additional shopping, museum and office complex attached.

Tokyo Station - Celebrating 100 years.

Chuo Dori - Ginza becomes a pedestrian street on weekends and holidays.

Japan Trip 2014 - Day 3 Kyoto (Nov-23)

Took the Hikari Shinkansen (Bullet Train) to Kyoto for a day trip.

Japan Trip 2014 - Day 2 Tokyo (Nov-22)

Ginza (Tokyo) - Centre the Bakery
Toast paradise! Different types of bread, butter and spreads.
You pick your own toaster and toast at your table.

The line was this long 30 minutes before opening,
luckily most of the people were in line to buy bread to go so we got in quickly.

Nakano (Tokyo) Nakano Broadway  a 4 story shopping complex dedicated to anime,
manga, idol, video games, figures and other otaku items.
...but we were in the hunt of other things.

Japan Trip 2014 - Day 1 Tokyo (Nov-21)

Went to various fabric and button shops in Nippori Fabric Town.
Finished the day at the Tokyo Skytree.
The wait was over an hour just for the time assigned ticket so we just walk around the area.

We went to Japan!!

and more Fish, good but too much Fish.
When we landed at Narita Airport, there was a TV Tokyo crew filming the popular program

Malibu Pier

We drove up the coast to Malibu Pier.

The water is very clear and full of little fishes.

We had lunch at Malibu Farm at the end of the pier.

My wife had the Fried Egg Sandwich.

I had the Chicken Burger, good but not as good as the Fried Egg Sandwich. My wife give me half of her sandwich :-)

Walk on the beach after lunch.
